Today, here in the United States, we celebrate the birth of Martin Luther King Jr. on January 15th, 1929. Tragically, he received an assassins bullet on April 4th, 1968. Even though his life was cut short, it was not without great impact on our American culture. He opened many eyes to the inequities in our society that were based on the vaporous quality of skin color, paving the way for many reforms in our laws and attitudes.
